Sarah Mitchell, Registered Counsellor
Sessions are paced by you. We'll talk about what's going on, what you'd like to feel different, and the small steps that make sense for your week.
I've worked as a counsellor for more than ten years, in community health and now in private practice. I work with adults and couples, and I draw on person-centred and solution-focused approaches.

About
Counselling for adults navigating stress, change and big life transitions.
Sarah Mitchell, Registered Counsellor
My story
Before this work I spent years in busy, high-pressure jobs, and I know how hard it can be to find a moment to stop and think. That's what I try to offer: an hour that belongs to you.
I work with adults at all stages of life. Some people come with something specific on their mind; others just know things don't feel right. Both are good reasons to book.
Qualifications
How I work
We go at your pace. There's no script and no pressure to share more than you're ready to.
We agree together on what to focus on, and check in regularly on how sessions are going.
Alongside talking things through, you'll leave with small, realistic steps to try during the week.

Starting counselling
Booking a first session can feel like a big step. Knowing what happens can make it a little easier.
You'll get a short form to fill in. It asks for contact details and a little about what brings you in, and you can leave anything you'd rather talk about in person.
We'll talk about what's been happening and what you'd like to feel different. You don't need to prepare anything or know where to start.
We'll agree on whether to meet again and how often. There's no obligation to book a second session.

Every Ayla website comes with a simple, elegant logo made from your practice name, so you can launch with a polished brand straight away. You get a round badge (your name around a ring, your initials in the middle), a small initials mark for tight spaces, social profiles and the browser tab, and a wordmark (the mark with your name beside it).
They're drawn in your colours and fonts, and change with them if you ever update either. Already have a logo you love? We'll use yours instead. And it's entirely optional: if you'd rather have no logo, we'll simply set your practice name in the theme's lettering.
